Half way though September and…

What a year so far!

Back into fulltime work since April, which I’m loving. It’s a great company, has had some rapid growth but still is very much living its values. So, I shall share a link – go buy internet or a phone plan through them – https://www.aussiebroadband.com.au/

Been super busy since the beginning of the year cleaning up Mum’s house, helping Kat move temporarily and then have the house sold. Settlement is expected 16 October so at least one more garage sale and then packing it all up. Will be a busy Grand Final weekend πŸ™‚ – Australian Rules Football (of interest but not mad about itπŸ˜‚ )

So, what’s the update?

Music believe it or not. It’s music week at my house. I’ve always had likes beyond the mainstream, previewed new releases and know if it was going to be a hit, or just had some eclectic or oddball musical tastes.

I also have a turntable and amp and have been tempted to play them. Thought the turntable needed a new belt but hasn’t resolved it’s spinning but not playing issue. May have to get a new /2nd hand turntable – currently the AT LP60X is in my sights.

Having said that most of what I’m loving this week has been around for a while.

So I look at TikTok, can lose hours on it really. But this watching this guy line dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers” made me like the song and think about line dancing – they have a line dancing group in Bacchus Marsh, I looked.

This one is also all over TikTok with loads of people imitating the dance routines. The track is awesome, so cool and funky and very 70s feel. Makes me wanna dance too – (I do that sometimes on Saturday morning when the partner sleeps in πŸ€£πŸ•ΊπŸͺ©πŸ’ƒ)

Finally I discovered a women named Jackie Venson. Se’s an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who has the most amazing facial expressions too. Find her on Spotify too

Finally I subscribe to the Songletter substack and the guys shared this older track a few weeks ago. Love it! Makes me feel happy and at ease.

yes, sometimes I have no idea where the music in my hard come from. I know I also hear music in my dreams!
